It's amazing, what todays fonts are able to do! Unicode-fonts are capable of much more than
displaying letters of the alphabet. What you see on this page is all declared as font
Arial , though the operating system and the browser can substitute missing
characters with characters from other fonts.
How to write a certain character
The simplest way will be, to copy the character from this page. Just select the character
and press Ctrl+C to copy the character to the clipboard. To paste the
character to your application press Ctrl+V . This is an easy way, to
insert special characters to Word.
Another way for Windows users is, to press the Alt key and type a four
digit number on the numeric keypad. Typing
Alt+0 1 3 7 would result in the character ‰,
Alt+9 7 4 2 will display a ☎.
To use a symbol on an HTML web page, you can use the decimal number like this
‰ where 137 is the number of the character you need. Click
