Short description

With Golin you can easily create HTML based Internet picture galleries. Perhaps you took pictures with your digital camera and you want to publish them on the Internet, so start Golin, select the pictures and let Golin create the gallery.

Golin won't create galleries with a fixed layout, instead you can create your own layout, fitting to the look and feel of your already existing homepage. You won't find a lot of options and settings to change colors and format of the layout, but you can use every HTML editor, to create new layouts or to change the delivered examples.

What you can do with Golin

• Add titles and comments to your pictures.
• Sort the pictures easily with drag & drop or use the order functions.
• Golin will create new resized pictures in the size and quality you decide, the preview will help you to find the optimal settings.
• Write your own layouts with an HTML editor you like and Golin inserts the pictures in your layout, or you can chose between the sample layouts.

What Golin cannot do

It's perhaps not very common to say what a program cannot do (since every programmer thinks their own program is the best in any case), nevertheless it can be very helpful to know.

• Golin isn't an HTML editor, so you don't have a lot of options to change the layout of your galleries. Instead you can create your own layouts or use the sample layouts.
• Golin can only create *.jpg pictures.
• With Golin you can't touch up pictures, it only resizes and optimizes them for the Internet.

Distribution

Golin© is freeware written by Martin Stoeckli, you can make free copies, give it to friends or do whatever you want to do with it. However, you are not allowed to redistribute it in any modified form, or to sell it and earn money.
